Escape the heat and enjoy a fun, educational, family-friendly evening at the downtown library (610 Quincy Street, upstairs) Friday, June 22 from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. We’ll start out with two hands-on engineering challenges: Windy City Tower Design and Earthquake-Resistant Structure. We supply all the materials.

Following the engineering activities, settle in with popcorn and a beverage to watch “DREAM BIG: Engineering Our World” on our big screen. “DREAM BIG” is filled with fun vertigo moments, learning and adventure! Narrated by Academy Award winner Jeff Bridges, it will transform how you think about engineering. The film is a celebration of human ingenuity and engineering marvels, showing grit and determination, aspiration, compassion and innovation in unexpected and amazing ways.
