Even though Stick Season lasted forever, Noah Kahan fans are already clamoring for new music from the artist, and he’s now hinted that he’s at least started the process of making a new project.

On social platform X, he wrote, “Recorded new music for the first time in a long time, album still a ways away but felt good to be back grinding again.”

When a fan commented, “the great divide I hope :),” Noah replied, “Yepp.”

“The Great Divide” is an unreleased song that Noah performed live on his most recent tour, including at his landmark shows at Boston’s Fenway Park in July. However, when he released Live From Fenway Park, the album documenting those shows, “The Great Divide” wasn’t on it.

At the time, he explained, “I do not want to put out a recorded version of that song without the context of the newer music I’ve been writing around it.”

He continued, “I want to make sure that it comes out in a way that feels authentic to the story I want to tell around it. I didn’t realize how much people would love this song and I just started playing it on tour because I was trying to keep myself excited. It’s my fault for teasing it without the right plan in place to put it out.”
